EMPRESS PICTURES, MANAIA. TO-NIGHT. She’s beautiful, -she’s intelligent, she woars clothes like a million dollars — and she can act. Eva Novak has been seen in many interesting pictures in the past, but never. in one which did more complete justice to her talents than the “Dixie- Flyer” the super attraction which is to be screened at the Empress Theatre to-night. Eva i-s cast a.s Rose Rap ley, the- fearless daughter of a railroad president, who is enmeshed in -a web of trickery and deceit. Rose lumps in to help her dad out of a; tight bole, and finds herself bound about by the -same tentacles. How she frees heirself and her father with the aid of “Sunrise” Smith, from every difficulty which beset them, is is-p'iendidly told in a. story written, as only H. H. Van Loan can write. Besides Miss Novak, the cast also include® Cullen Landis, John Eliot, A. Richard Rowlands- and Pat Harmon.
