NORTH MID-WEEK CONTEST. The outstanding feature of the match between the Inglewood teams was the play of Coutts, Devereux and Powell, resulting in an overwhelming j victory for the B team. Scoring 221 tor two wickets and declaring, they | dismissed their opponents for 97 and 93, and thus won by an innings and 31 runs. Coutts was in fine form, and ran to 115 before he was caught out by Gamlin, while Devereux was unbeaten with 61 to his credit. Thebowling figures of Powell and Coutts were remarkably good, the former getting in all eight for 80 runs and the' latter eleven for 68. Eor the A team. N. Ross scored 50 and Parfitt 47. GAME AT OKAIAWA. An interesting match was played at Okaiawa on Wednesday evening between the Township and Country. Township batted first, making 117. The best scores were Murdoch 16, Matson (retired) 36, D. Crawford 16. and Ike Johnny 11. C. Whalen bowled best with three wickets for 5 runs. Country replied with a score of 88 — C. Whalen (retired) 39, Atkins 17, and Thomas 13. Ramsey two for 12, Penny three for 7, and Newman two for 7 wore most successful with the ball. TEAMS FOR~SATURDAY. Okaiawa v.
