SOHOOIL COMMITTEE MEETING. The Education Board lias put up a fine shelter shed for the children, which was very badly needed. The shed is now 30 feet long and will give ample accommodation for some time to come. The committee lias arranged to day the lloor of the shed in concrete in the near future, the board to provide the cement and the committee the rest of fclie material. The committee has also agreed to have a working lice to do the work. The thanks of the committee were convoyed to Air and Mrs Petty for thensocial work amongst the children and also for their very careful work in conveying the children to and from school, not one accident of any kind happening, during the three or four years of their .stay in Matapii. The secretary .••eeeived a very appreciative let-tor from Mr and Mftsi Petty thanking the committee for their letter.
Discussion wfos gone into with regard to facilities for a dental clinic. .Messrs Garter mid {Seed were instructed to get particulars and the possibilities of securing the services of a qualified operator from the nearest centre. The committee recognised the urgent need for a clinic in this district.
A vote Qtf thanks was passed to Mr Barclay for lending ibis motor ’bus free of charge to. convey the competitors to the Dixon Banner sports. Contra in latinos were accorded to the competitors from the .school in winning the Bennett and Sutton Oup outright, which is well deserved as they have all been training assiduously for some, time back.
Accounts were passed for payment and the meeting which is the last for the year was terminated with reenpro»vl wishes for a merry Christmas and i prosperous New Year.
