COLLISION AT NORMANBY.

HAWERA OARS DAMAGED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Ait about 7 o'clock last evening a collision occurred between two motor cars at the junction of Stafford Street and the Mountain Road, opposite the Nonnanhy Hotel. car driven by Mr L*j. H. Hiarrop, ditaper erf Hawera, without passengers, was proceeding to Hawei'a from the direction of Okaiawa, and when turning the corner on to the Mountain Road, it came .into, collision with another ear owned land driven by Mr J. X. Anderson, of the White Hart Hotel, Hawera, with whom was Mrs. Anderson. The impact caused the first mentioned car to turn completely round and topple on its side. The vehicle was extensively damaged. Mr Anderson’s car mounted a. low hank and came to a standstill close to the railway fence. One mudguard was bent, the bumper torn off and the front axle badly twisted. Beyond a severe shaking, none of the occupants were injured.
