MAUNGATUA HANDICAP Of 225 sovs, Seven furlongs. 3 Gay Sonnet (T. Brodie) 1 4 Shalimar 2 8 Money Mine 3 Scratched: Schottiscihe, Lady Tractor, Royal Head, Master Clarence, All Comment. Won by a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.3 S 4-5. TRIAL STAKES. Of 200 sovs. Six furlongs. 11 Sudden Storm 1 8 Coomassie 2 1 Don Jose 3 Scratched: Great Spear, Fallow, Tembroney. Won by three lengths, a similar distance between second and third. Time, 1.15 4-5. McLEIAN STAKES, Of 600 sovs. Five furlongs. 1 OhiltLspliay 1 - 4 Noteworthy 2 12 Miss Thespian 3 Scratched : Silver Arc. Won by five lengths ,three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.1 4-5.
