ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

GOAIPLAINT AGAINST ACTION OF SCHOOLAI ASTER. (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AVELLINGTON, Aug. 26. Strong comment was made at a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association last night when a report was received from the Poverty Bay Association stating that schoolboys’ soccer was being interfered with by a master at one of the schools. 'Mr. Varney mentioned that Otago had asked the council to take up the same matter some time ago, but as the Southern Association’s accounts had not been collected, the council was asked to hold the matter over for a while. AI embers expressed indignation at the action of the Gisborne master and were of the opinion that the council now had a ease to take before the education authorities. It was decided that Alessrs. Varney and Renai should interview the Director of Education.
