HOT CAMPAIGN EXPECTED. DE VALERA LEADS REPUBLICANS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, May 23: The general election in the Irish Free State begins to-dav with the issue of writs. A hot campaign is expected till June 8. The Ministers are already addressing the electors. There are eight parties in the field, including the Government, Republican, f n dependent, Clan Eiireann. . National, Farmers, Labour and Sinn Fein parties.
