William Murray Aitken, aged 51 vears-. caused a, scene in tlie lorn* Court this morning. When charged with drunkenness and using obscene lan«-uage. he b-tcame furious, waved his ; arnis and shook his first at the magistrate. . , Refusing to keep quiet, he was forcibly removed from the court to the prisoners’ room, where ha w r as screaming for five minutes. Later, when brought back to court-, the police asked that lie be remanded for medical observatino. B? resumed his frantic protestations and was again removed, yelling. The remand was granted. RAILWAY SERVANT CHARGED. INVERCARGILL, April 12. Michael Lyons, railway servant, was arrested this morning and. changed m the Po 1 ice Court this afternoon with the theft of £1147 14s Id, the property of the New Zealand Government Railways. He was remanded to appear in Christchurch on April 26. THEFT OF CAR. HAMILTON. April 12. Leslie Charles Burke, aged 20, was sentenced 1 to two years’ detention in the Invercargill Borstal Institute for the theft of a car in Wellington. CAR BURNED. AUCKLAND. April 12. A sovon-*eater motor-car, valued at £3OO. which was stolen from a city street last night, was found burned m a suburban road early this morning. The car was a total wreck.
