Mrs MoNab, aged 80, of Sage’s Lane, died in the public hospital at 8.25 p.m. as the result of injuries from being knocked over by a motor lorry driven by C. W. Lawton in Tory street at 3 p.m. FACTORY MANAGER FOUND SERIOUSLY HURT. DUNEDIN, March 4. James Findlay, manager of the. Mosgiel Dairy Company, was found in his office to-night with ai bullet wound in his head. He was sent to hospital in a serious condition, and is not expected to live. He is a married man, 38 years of ago? and had been in ill-health for some time. WELL-KNOWN FARMER KILLED. WANGANUI, March 5. The police received word this morning that Mr A. G. Anderson, a wellknown settler of Kukutu, near Wanganui, had! been found accidentally shot beside a wire fence on his farm. Anderson went out early to shoot some turkeys, and. as he did not return, members of the family went in search and found him lying dead along the wire fence. He had evidently dragged the gun through the fence, but it had caught on a knot and was discharged, the shot entering his ribs. DEATH OF TELEGRAPH MESSENGER • TAIHAPE, March 5. A telegraph messenger named H. R. Deware, aged 15, was found unconscious beside his bicycle on a public road at 1 p.m. yesterday. He -was removed to the public hospital, where an operation was performer. There was no fracture, but hemorrhage in the brain. Dewar died at 11.15 o’clock last night.
