CRICKET.
NORTH: TARANAKI DIVISION. A very imorptant question was brought up at -a meeting of the North Taranaki division of the cricket .association at New Plymouth last night. Mr. O. B. Bottrill presiding, wvhen the matter of a coach was raised. Its .importance was recognised, and Messrs. Bates and Bottrill Avere deputed to make inquiry. Mr. W. Devenish, of Nelson, Avro-te enclosing a donation of a guinea toAvards improving Aviekets at Pukekura Park, and urged that if Longhorn soil senior matches one day only- should be were not available, more pa-pa should be used for top-dressing. It Av:a,s agreed that for the remaining allottecr ana trie results in the event of each club not concluding one innings, to be a draw, one point- each.
