TAWHITI SPORTS.
FOR TH COMING MEETING. A committee meeting of the Tawhiti Sports Association was held on Thursday night, when arrangements for the forthcoming» meeting, were gone into. Tt was arranged n to hold the. sports meeting on Wednesday, March 9. Mr H. Dawson has kindly I'oaned his farm, which adjoins the Tawhiti Ball, for the purpose of holding the sports. An extensive programme was arranged,, which includes horse events, athletic and cycling: races, pony jumping and trots, highland piping and dancing for boys and girls. Afternoon tea and refreshments wi',l be obtainable on the grounds. Strong committees were appointed, who have everything in connection with the meeting we’J in hand, and an enjoyable day’s outing is assured. The meeting is being held under the auspices of the member for the district, the county chairman, and the Mayor of Hawera. In the evening a- concert and dance is to be held, during which valuable prizes won. during the day, will be presented by' Mr R. G. Dickie. ;M.P.
