A meeting of the Wellington Band Contest Committee adopted the following programme: Monday, 21st February—Concert Chamber, 9 a.m., G. trombone solo; 11 a.m., E.E. flat bass solo; Town Hall. >1 a.m., boys’ solo; afternoon reception at Basin Reserve; bands will meet at Post Office square at 1.30, march to Basin Reserve, playing march en route; 3 p.m., drums solo; Town Hall, 7 ,p.m., hymn contest. | Tuesday, 22nd February—Concert Chamber, 9 a.m., 8.8. flat bass solo; Town Hall, 9 a.m., euphonium solo: Concert Chamber, 2 p.m., tenor horn solo; Town Hall, 2 p.m., tenor trombone solo; Town Hall, 7 p.m.. B Grade Selection, “II Flauto Magieo.” Wednesday, 23rd 'February—Concert Chamber, 9 a.m., baritone solo; Concert chamber, 2 p.m., B flat flugel horn; Town Hall. 9 a.m., B flat cornet (Ist section); Town Hall, 2 p.m., B flat cornet (2nd section) ; Town Ilall, 7 .p.m., AGrade Selection, “Lortziug. ” Thursday. 24th February- —Concert Chamber, 9 a.m. ; E flat bass solo; Concert Chamber, 2 p.m., E flat cornet solo; Town Hall. 2 p.m., trombone trio; Town Hall, 7 p.m., B Grade Selection, ‘ ‘ Fra Diavolo. ’ ’
Friday, 25th February—Town Hall, 2 p.m.. quartette; Town Hall, 7 p.m., A Grade Selection, “Gounod.” Saturdav, 26tli February—Athletic Park, 1 p.m., Quickstep Contest, A and B Grade bands; Town Hall, 8. ,p.xn., champion solos, selections by winning bands and presentation of prizes.
