For the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting the weather is line but dull. ' There is a large holiday crowd in attendance. Results: — MUNGAROA HIGH-WEIGHT. Of 300 sovs.; one mile-and a quarter. 1 Mint Leaf, 11.2 1 2 Wedding March, 10.2 2 7 Bennanee, 10.5 3 All started. Won by a length, with a length and a half between second and third. Time, 2.9. TRIAL PLATE. Of 300 sovs; seven furlongs. 2 Crown Area, 8.5 1 1 Assurance, 8.5 2 4 'Serotina, 8.5 3 Scratched: Dimmer. Won by one and a half lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, 1.275. JANUARY HANDICAP. Of 500 sovs: one mile.
2 Centrepiece, 8.11 1 4 Rascal, 8.3 2 7 Joybird, 7.10 3 Scratched: Piuthair, Alloway. Won by half a length, a similar distanco between second and third. Time, 1.405. NURSERY HANDICAP. Of 500 sovs; six furlongs. 4 Paleta, 9.5 1 G Laughing Prince, 9.5 2 2 Otairi, 7.8 3 All started. Won by two lengths, one between second and third. Time, 1.12 J. RESULTS FROM FOXTON FOXTON, Jan. 22. The second day of the Foxton Racing Club’s annual meeting opened in fine but overcast weather, with an increased attendance. Results: — PAIAKA HACK HANDICAP. Of 145 sovs; one mile five furlongs. 5 Anchor, 9.0 1 4 Empire Camp, 9.0 2 1 Elvaette, 10.9 3 All started. Won by one and a half lengths, with third horse four ibhind Time, 3.2 4-5. WHIROKINO HACK HANDICAP. Of 130 sovs;' six furlongs. 1 Whenuanui, 8.3 1 10 Grand National, 7.7 2 4 Lady Cynthia, 7.11 3 Scratched: Wilderness. Won by two lengths, a neck between second and third. Time, 1.16. PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP. Of 300 sovs; one mile and a distance. 1 Opa, 8.8 1 4 Peneus, 7.11 ••• 2. 5 Panart, 7.0 3 Scratched: Nukumai. Won by three quarters of a length; four lengths between second and third. Time, 1.55 1-5. WIIANGI HANDICAP. 1 Bonogne 1 4 Misgovern 2 3 First Acre 3 1 Scratched: Beaumont. Won by a neck. Time, 1.16.
