For the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting the weather is line but dull. ' There is a large holiday crowd in attendance. Results: — MUNGAROA HIGH-WEIGHT. Of 300 sovs.; one mile-and a quarter. 1 Mint Leaf, 11.2 1 2 Wedding March, 10.2 2 7 Bennanee, 10.5 3 All started. Won by a length, with a length and a half between second and third. Time, 2.9. TRIAL PLATE. Of 300 sovs; seven furlongs. 2 Crown Area, 8.5 1 1 Assurance, 8.5 2 4 'Serotina, 8.5 3 Scratched: Dimmer. Won by one and a half lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, 1.275. JANUARY HANDICAP. Of 500 sovs: one mile.

The second day of the Foxton Racing Club’s annual meeting opened in fine but overcast weather, with an increased attendance. Results: — PAIAKA HACK HANDICAP. Of 145 sovs; one mile five furlongs. 5 Anchor, 9.0 1 4 Empire Camp, 9.0 2 1 Elvaette, 10.9 3 All started. Won by one and a half lengths, with third horse four ibhind Time, 3.2 4-5. WHIROKINO HACK HANDICAP. Of 130 sovs;' six furlongs. 1 Whenuanui, 8.3 1 10 Grand National, 7.7 2 4 Lady Cynthia, 7.11 3 Scratched: Wilderness. Won by two lengths, a neck between second and third.
