TOURING IN JAPAN.
Writing of a tour .in Japan, a tourist from Australia has nothing but praise for the roads round and the streets in Tokio. Inter alia, he says:—“The municipal council of Tokio is a real up-to-date body, and the city is a credit to the Japanese, having been virtually rebuilt since the earthquake. The main streets are fully 100 feet wide, and are kept in good order and clean condition. The motor and cycling traffic is enormous. ” 4
