MR COBHAM’S FLIGHT.
LANDING IN LONDON.
SERPENTINE PROJECT ABANDONED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Sept. 24. As a result of consultations between the Air Ministry and the Office of Works, it ha's been decided that the project for Mr Alan Cobham to land on the Serpentine is impracticable. Enormous crowds would be bound to assemble in Hyde Park, which, being a Royal park, cannot be fenced, and there would be a serious risk of people being pushed into the wafer. Mr Cobham, instead, will probably land on the Thames between Westminster and Chelsea.
