FOR PRIME MINISTER’S DEPARTURE. (By Telegraph'—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. “I don’t see how I can possibly getaway by the endi of the month. In fact, 1 have- not thought about it, ,y said, tlie P’rinie early this afternoon when asked if lie had any announcement to make concerning his departure for tlie, Imperial Conference. “I think the programme of work before the House is too heavy to permit of such an early departure. The Licensing Bill of itself is such an important measure that- I simply must be here. Then, there ar,e other big questions to be decided, including rural credits. Wheq one considers the programme carefully it is readily seen that it warrants the head of the Government remaining l to lead the party.’
