LATEST RETURNS
(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, May 21. Additional census returns disclosed an increase of 2260 in Wanganui City, which has now a population of 23,601 and an increase of 183 in Green Island borough, now 2240. The increase in the Maori population, so far as the count is made up, is 3047, the leading district in the latest batch of figures being Bay of Islands, 3494 (2806 in 1921) and Whakatane, 3022 (2403). ■
