LORRIES AND MIRRORS.

(Waikato Times.) It is time motor lorry owners, it not drivers, had the sense and courtesy to equip their vehicles with rear-view mirrors. Lumbering' motor lorries not equipped with mirrors have a habit of running on the crown of country roads which are not always as wide and as even-surfaced as they might be. A ear is compelled to honk, honk continuously to attract the attention of lorry drivers. Whether they go to sleep on their juggernauts or trot I do not know, but sometimes one is forced to think that tliev are a bit drowsy.

At any rate, a competent, considerate driver trying to foster goodwill on the road would, when he is travelling o . the crown of the highway, take care that he did not impede other and faster traffic unnecessarily.
