MANAIA BOY SCOUTS.

SUCCESS AT DUNEDIN. IX MARCHING CONTEST. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The citizens of Manaia and district, and in fact the whole of Taranaki, should feel proud of the Manaia Boy Scouts after their splendid effort at the Dunedin Exhibition jamboree, winning the championship of New Zealand in the marching contest against all units of New Zealand. The placing was: South Africa 1, Australia 2, and Manaia 3, which places the local boys first for the whole of New Zealand. A reception will be held at Manaia on Monday night next, at 6.30 o’clock, to the Boy Scouts at the Octagon. The parents and members of the public are invited to attend.
