PRELIMINARY CONFERENCE. AMERICAN PARTICIPATION. AUTHORISING THE COST. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received Jan. 7, 10.10 a.m. 1 ) WASHINGTON, Jan. 6. The Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives to-day unanimouslv reported a resolution to authorise the expenditure of 50,000 dollars for American participation in the preparation for a disarmament conference at Geneva. The committee rejected an amendment to instruct the American delegates to present a resolution calling for consideration of the advisableness of outlawing nations that start wars of aggression.—A. and N.Z.
