TIRENITHAM TRACK WORK
FINAL GALLOPS. WELLINGTON, Oct. 23. At Trentham Rapine did seven furlongs in 1.31, an impressive gallop. Oocoanut sprinted six furlongs in 1.19. Star Stranger went four in 49sec., leaving Mimetic. Useful work was done by Father O’Flynn. Bisox was holding Ring the Bell at the end of six furlongs in 1.17, the best gallop of the morning. March Bast finished ahead of Decoy Bird and Joy King, in half-a-mile; time, 50 1-5. ■Shining Armour and Mandane covered six furlongs in 1.19. Dubious went six furlongs. Captain Sarto and ’Frisco Mail went a mile in 1.49.
Gold Girl went half-a-mile in 50 2-5, and Stream did the same distance in 150.
Royal Divorce was better than Fool s Paradise at the end of six furlongs in 1.18. ''
Newbury King and Limonite went four furlongs in 52 Kaiti was clear, of Kilfaire at the end of six furlongs in 1.18. Pangolin did half a mile in 50* and Megalo five furlongs in 1.4. WAVERLEY HUNT MEETING. The following horses will be loaded on Saturday morning’s special train for the Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club meeting: Miss Moreen, Priie, and Tai_ taiata (J. Fryer’s team); Sunny Vale, Blue Peter, Shut-eye, and Benzora (C. Jackson); Husker and AVintagonist (A'. J. Bryant); Sunshot and Bonogne (E. Murtagh); Gold Plaid and The 'Lamb (R. Brough); Seaforte (S. Cleaver); San Fera and All Wind (M. Conway); Empire Camp (J. Foley); Oaliwai (O. McCarten); Solferange (U. Cox). Seastar, Vaward, and Avola will probably comprise W. Pine’s team. J. Howden, of Nofmanby, will entrain at Hawera with one horse, and J. Butler will leave with Pouma and Tikirere from the northern division. Passing through to Waverley by the midday train to-day were Income .and Ohyrria (P. Johnson); Fire Brigade and Mountain Ore (G. Edgecombe); Rapid Fire (C. Ruscoe), and Roche (B. Cannon). W. Mantle, of New Plymouth, went down by this afternoon’s train with Mountain Bell and Roman.
Loading to-morrow will commence at 8.30 and end at 8.50, the train leaving at 9.2 a.m. Unless trainers make application. for certificates for their horses on the return journey they cannot expect the usual railway concessions
