INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
A 5 STRATFORD CASE. For some weeks now no fresh cases of infantile paralysis have been admitted to the Hawera hospital, and all those in the institution have been reported to be progressing favourably. However, > a mild .case of the disease ‘was admitted to the - Stratford hospital late on Saturday night, the patient coming from the Oounake Road, Stratford. , . . •' INHALATION CHAMBER. DISMANTLED IN HAWERA. As the infantile paralysis epidemic appears to /have run “its'course iii this district, the Hawera Borough Council’s inhalation- chamber has been closed. The . place Svas being dismantled this, morning. ' • '■. ~7 - 'i The Mayor- (Mr. L. A. Bone) told a Star reporter that 7000 visits have been paid tt> the chamber since its opening when*.the epidemic first threatened. Those treated have included a fair number I *pf adults while many children attended regularly.
