Ellis and Austin opened the visitors’ second innings, 142 runs being for a win. Dickinson and Mcßeth opened the attack. The latter bowled a maiden to Austin, who almost played one from Dickinson on to his wicket, but with the next brought 10 rip, snicking the leather through the slips for four.
