The 44C/ yards State swimming championship resulted: Mi Ison 1. Cavanagh 2. Purcbas 3. Time, 6.7. Mariechen Wahselau (Hawaiian), in her first appearance in Sydney, won the 100 varcls ladies’ championship in Go 3-ssec by six yards. Miss Walpole was second "and Miss Pawley third. [Ethekla Bleibtry swam the 100 yards in 64 2-ssec. the Australsaian record.l BRISBANE. Fell. 2.
The 440 yards swimming championship of Australia resulted: Grier I. Taylor 2, Springfield 3. Time, 0.37 4-5. 220 yards championship of Australia: SoussaVi 1. Waite 2. Colquhaun 3. Time. 3.4 1-5.
