SEAMEN MEET SECRETLY. ROWERS’ AWARD TO BE ACCEPTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, Jan. 21. Mr-. Walsh, general secretary, addressed a _ secret meeting of the Seamen’s Union, but the action decided on at the meeting was not made public, though it ijs learned that the men, after uproarious scenes, decided to accept Mr. Justice Powers’ award. This, however, does not mean that ships will be manned immediately, ‘as other disputes have to be settled before there can be any resumption of work. ‘STEAMERS STILL HELD , UP. SYDNEY, Jan. 21. Further efforts to man idle ships failed, the men not attending the pick-I mg-up places.
