DEBATE ON GOVERNMENT’S POLICY. BERLIN, Jan. 20. An uproar, in which Right Party shouts of “traitor” and “are you paid by France?” predominated, greeted the Socialist Herr Breitscheid, who stated in the course of the debate in the Reichstag on the Government’s policy that it appeared that the Allied Military Control Commission’s complaints could not be completely refuted; also that students participated in military training in the ReichsAvehr. Further noisy interruptions punctuated the remainder of the speech, 'culminating in a shout of “Thank God” Avlien Herr Breitscheid declared that the new Government Avas a stage cn the way 'to the restoration of the monarchy. GOVERNMENT FAIRLY SAFE. BERLIN, Jan. 20. The debate in the Reichstag on the Governments’ policy clarified the attitude of the various parties to the Cabinet. The Centrists promised support to the Chancellor (Dr. Luther) only so long as he treads the path to which the Centre Party has agreed, but if he deviates therefrom the necessary action will he taken. The Socialists lodged a motion of no confidence, but the German Nationals, the Popularists, the Bavarian, the People’s, and the Economic Parties jointly moA r ed, approving Dr. Luther’s declaration. Thus for the moment the Government is tolerably secure.
