N.Z. RAILWAYS.

INTERESTING PAMPHLET. * An excellen t production is the pamphlet issued by the New Zealand Railway Department, entitled “Travel —SportsScenery.” The booklet is exceedingly well produced, and gives a most comprehensive review of all that is to, be seen in the Dominion in connection with these three interests • for- the tourists. .It is profusely . illustrated, with scenes typical of New Zealand life and conditions, illustrative of alt tha t can be seen and done in the Dominion by the > holiday-maker and the business man. Views are showir of the baths and springs at Rotorua, fishing at Bay of Islands, climbing at Mt. Egmont and the Southern Alps, the caves at Waitomo, scenery of Wanganui Riyer and Milford Track, fishing and shooting in the rivers and game areas. These give a fairly representative idea of the attractions the country offers. In the centre is a capital' map of the North and South Islands, showing clearly the railways system; with all the tours available to travellers, with routes and distances plainly markeo. jf is a\ production creditable alike to the. designer and the Department. Much information is given in regard to tours. The result should be a distinct help tc, popularising the railways of New Zealand.
