IN NEW SOUTH WALES. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE REPORTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Jan. 15, 12.35 p.m. SYDNEY. Jan. 15. Reports from numerous country centres record exceptionally heavy raiu. At Albury 680 points fell in 40 hours Much of the town is under water. In one storm of forty minutes’ duration two inches fell. Trains are running irregularly owing to the lines being covered. Exceptional floods in the-lower .Murray are inevitable, as rivers and creeks are rising rapidly. One bridge was washed away. Some crops where stripping had just commenced will he affected. Damage to the roads will be extensive. Through a cloudburst at Tercutta., near Wagga, 3} inches of raiu fell in half an hour.
