The Sydney Morning Herald, referferring to the present high values of wool, says that the wool sold in Sydney to the end of the first half of the current season totalled 300,000 bales, at an estimated value of £14,400,000. In the second half of the season. 415,000 bales will be offered, ,at an estimated value .of £16,600,000 sterling, making a record for the New South Wales clip for Australia. The whole estimated year’s clip is selling at'about £4O per bale. The yield is therefore £84,000,000, thus far exceeding the value of any previous clip.
