INSPECTING TOUR. PRAISE FOR. COUNTY ENGINEERS. At, the conclusion of a tour of all the roads in the district of which ho has control, Mr Ball, District Public Works Engineer at Stratford, expressed himself as generally pleased with what he saw. He considered that ther© was vol 'yJjtUe difference between Taranaki and Wanganui districts, and noted with interest a decided improvement in' the Waifcotara County Main Road. He p<ud a glowing tribute to the way in which county engineers had done everything possible, and shown great energy, enthusiasm and initiative in assisting to bring the main highways to a standard which will .be a credit to all concerned. •
