CASH STOLEN. “PROBABLY A BOY’S WORK.” The action of some irresponsible who, on Sunday week, entered the Public Library and stole 5s 6d in cash, was reported to the Hawera Borough Council last night by the librarian, Miss M. P. Newland. The report stated that the theft was probably the work of some boy, as a candle was lighted on the mantelpiece and the window left open about three inches. As far as she could see nothmg but the cash had been touched. This was the only occasion of such a happening, but sh© had. informed the police sat once.
