SYDNEY PAPER’S CLAIM

The suit, the Daily Telegraph against Broadcasters, Ltd., was again before the court, when it Was announced that the, case would be settled; but it has been arranged that the case will be again 'mentioned on Monday next. The, iriatter was then allowed to sibarid over till that dsiy.
The Daily Tqlegraph made an applica. tiori to the Equity Court to restrain Broadcasters, Ltd., and its servants or agents from Broadcasting or transmitting by wireless to the public any portion pf, the, letterpress ~ contained, in plaintiff cdhipany’s newspapers and froiri infringing the copyright therein. An affidavit in support of . the application set out allegedly that various portions of the news-and information appearing iri plaintiff’s newspapers were being broadcasted as being neWs supplied by the newspaper Daily Guardian, that plaintiff had not authorised or consented to defendant’s sending out' news or information of any kind published iri any of its, newspapers, and that plaintiff Had suffered, rind wbiild suffer, great damage by defendant’s alleged actions.
