A Yorkshire cricket authority recalls an incident iii Which a .Yorkshire triripird gave out a left-handed batsman for, obstruction and unfair - play ifr playing an off ball by turning round arid hitting it right-harided. He states that J. T. Brown, the old test player, iri a match between Yorkshire and Notts in 1906, attempted to hit oiie of Gunn’s lbbs With a back-hand stroke. Scoring books records show that Brown was bowled by Gunn, with, the added comment that Brown lost his wicket foolishly by hitting back-handed at a lob.
