WOMEN SHOPLIFTERS.
SENTENCED AT CHRISTCHURCH. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 3. _At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Mr Wyvem Wilson. S.M., sentenced three women, Vera Helmling, aged 36, Isabel Nixonaged 42, and Emma Lindsay, aged 52, each to one month’s Imprisonment for shop-lilting in the D.I.C. and Ballantyne’s. Nixon had a. previous conviction against her for shop-lifting. The husbands of two women are in good financial positions. heenzo competition: 3800 entries Were received.
