A MOTHER'S CLAIM. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATIONGRfEYMOUTH. Dec. 3. The Arbitration Court sessions opened at Greymouth to-day. Mary Ann Dudley, of Moaua, claimed £750 from the Lake Brunner Sawmilling Company as compensation for the death of. her son, who- was killed in May last, and was the main sunport of his mother. The court awarded £350.

~ „ . WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. Mr Neil McCain, chief engineer of the Maheno, was badly scalded on the face, hands and legs by a sudden blow-out of steam while the boiler was being attended to. He had to. be sent to, hospital.
