In the Assembly, the Premier, Fethi Bey, outlining ,the new Governments programme, said it was determined to maintain an army strong enough to ensure the security and integrity of its frontiers. It was intended to respect all engagements entered into by previous Governments. He was anxiously awaiting an equitable solution of the Mosul frontier question, which was in the hands of the League, as this was the only obstacle to the resumption of the traditional friendship with Britain. The Chamber unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the new Government.
