The contest was desperately fought, heavy hitting being induluged in by both men, but Locke was. outclassed. RICE KNOCKS OUT ROSS. MELBOURNE, Nov. 30. Erne Rice defeated Dave Ross in the second round. Ross was overwhelmed from the .start and was easily knocked out.
