Emanuel Bedlivy, aged 22, a few weeks after marrying a pretty girl aged 20, locked her in a flat and blocked the entrances with furniture. Then he set fire to the woman’s clothing,-which was saturated with petrol. The fire brigade broke in and rescued the girl, whose life the husband had insured a few days previously.
