At Hawera, on Thursday, the 27th just., We had a good yarding, effecting a good clearance, several, pens of Polled Angus cows meeting good competition. We quote: P.b. young Tamworth boars £4* to B£gns, porkers £2 ,ss, weaners 20s to 235, fat shorn ewes 28s, woolly ewes 40s 6d, fat P.A. cows £7 12s 6d, fat cows £6 10s to £7 ss, crossbred cows £5 5s to £6 7s 6d, store cows sold well up to £5 for a pen of forward P.A. cows, others £3 10s to £4 ss. m.t. heifers £2 5s to £3 Is, good P.A. cows with calves at foot £6 10s. best young bulls £6 10s to £B. Works, boner cows and bulls met a ready sale at late rates.
