COMPENSATION CLAIMS. (BY TELEGRAPH- —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. A number of claims for compensation arising out of the loss of the Ripple on August 7 were heard bv the Arbitration Court to-day. Alice Way, widow of John James Way (seaman), the relatives of John Offer (fireman), Margaret Thomasen, widow of Nils Thomasen (seaman); Agnes Williamson, widow of Robert Williamson (seaman) claimed £750 in each case. The claims were undisputed and the Court awarded the five amounts.
