An application for a Dominion award covering the theatrical and stage'.employees was before the Arbitration Ccnirt to-day.- In the Conciliation Council an agreement was reached on a number of clauses, including that- covering wages, which were agreed to on the basis of the previous award. Only a few clauses were left to the court. The union applied for a 48-hour week® for stage doorkeepers', overtime to be paid for. any period over eight hours worked in any one day. In the old award the hours were 60 a week. A 48 hours’ week was also claimed for touring workers, as in the old award. For wardrobe women a seven hours’ day was asked.
