8 . MONTH’S GAOL LOR BANKRUPT. (by TELEGRAPH —PREBS ASSOCIATION. HAMILTON, Nov. 22. A Huntly storekeeper, James McNee, was to-day sentenced to a month’s imprisonment for failure to keep books and accounts of liis stationery business at Ellerslie. Defendant was an undischarged bankrupt, and for contracting debts while in that state he was convicted and discharged. Two further charges of disposing of property otherwise than, in the ordinary "way of trade, the property having heen obtained on credit and not paid for, and of obtaining credit to the amount of £54 3s sd, without disclosing the fact that he was an undischarged bankrupt, were withdrawn.
