A SECRETARY’S DEATH

VICTIM OF INSOMNIA

(by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. TIMARU, Nov. 22. Mr H. S. Russell has resigned the secretaryship of the South Canterbury Hospital Board, a position which he has held. for. the last eighteen years. Mr Russell states that as he finds himself out of sympathy with the board as a body he is unable to continue to carry out the board’s policy.

TIMARU, Nov. 23. H. fe. Russell, secretary of the Hospital Board, was found dead in the bathroom at his home .early on Saturday night with his throat cut. Deceased had been suffering from insomnia.
