CALLOUS CONDUCT. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS 'ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 21. “The conduct.of this man is heartless,” said the magistrate to-day in fining Frederick J. - Garlick, a taxi driver, for reckless driving and £5 for failing to stop when called on. The police gave evidence that Garlielc knocked a man down and did not stop, though his fare asked him to and a policeman- called. xs _—:—■ CHILD FATALLY KICKED. GISBORNE, Nov. 22. At Kakariki, on the East Coast, a little native boy, 18 months of age, was fatally kicked by a horse.
