PROTOCOL SCRAPPED.
MORE.SUITABLE SGHEME SOUGHT
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT . LONDON, Nov. 20. The Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent, defending his statement that the Geneva protocol had been scrapped, points put that the semiofficial denial includes a suggestion for the submission of a constructive plan, which was precisely what he had in mind. Furthermore, in view of the fact that the. attitude of the Dominions was already known, lie assumed and must still assume that the outcome of the consultation will be the abandonment of the protocol in favour of some more acceptable security scheme.
OPINION IN U.S.A
WASHINGTON, Nov. 19
The British, request that discussion on the Geneva disarmament protocol be deferred has aroused interest in administration circles.
