COMMUNITY LIGHTING.

MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS. At the end of the formal speechr making part of the function, a capital programme of instrumental and vocal numbers was 'given from the truck, and much appreciated by all present. The performers were Messrs Laidlaw and Frampton (duet), Messrs Melville and Vivian (songs), and G. W. Taylor’s orchestra. The- piano was kindly lent hv Dixon and Co. It should he added that the International Truck was lent by the Farmers’ Co-op. and proved most useful. The Hawera Municipal Band, recently reassembled, were under S.M. Mahoney, and their selections were miich enjoyed. Ail these portions of the function were very useful, And flad no small share in the success achieved.
