AUSTIN CARS.
SOMETHING DISTINCTIVE.
The Austin cars now on exhibition at the Show are the very latest productions of the Austin Works. - During recent years many improvements have been added to the Austin, and in consequence the demand has been so stimulated that to-day the Austin Works are three times larger than pre-war days, and now claim proudly to be the Empire’s largest motor works. The models now on exhibition have that distinctive appearance that make for real joy of ownership. The coach work has been done in artistic colours of a durable and lasting finish, and the upholstery harmonises in every detail. The front seat is adjustable, and the design gives ample width of door, while at the same time preserving compact and graceful lines. The engine has four cylinders and is water cooled, and, like all other Austin car 3, is noted for its wealth of power, extreme flexibility and silent running. The instrument board is extrenfely attractive and replete with every accessory for the driver’s convenience. Included are two glove pockets to take care of gloves and other sundries. The equipment is first grade and thoroughly complete. It includes a spare wheel and tyre, 5 lamps, luggage carrier, rear wind screen, spring gaitors and a kit of tools. In passing it is interesting to note that for some time past the demand for English cars has been' most pronounced, and the last quarterly returns show the imports as having increased to an astonishing degree. Finally remember that the Austins now on exhibition are the product of the Empire’s largest motor works, and are the result of 20 years’ concentrated effort in automobile engineering. Buy aii Austin and banish-care. These cars will be on exhibition at Petty’s Garage, opposite Central Hotel, on Tuesday and Wednesday next. Mr A. 11. Guy, Ilawera representative, will be in attendance to supply any information required.—Newton King Ltd., dealers for Taranaki.*
