DETERMINED SUICIDE.

TR AGEDY AT LOWER HUTT. * (by telegraph—prebs association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. Mrs M. Bairstow, a widow, about 35 years of age, who resided at Lower Hut-t, was missed from her home yesday morning. A search resulted ; n her body being found in the Hutt’ River. The wrists and legs were cut, being an indication that the wounds had been inflicted before the woman left home. She had been mentally depressed for some time, and the severe illness of a daughter apparently unhinged her mind. She left a letter intimating her intention to commit suicide.
