MONOPOLY OF TILES.

RESULT OF INQUIRY. BY CABLE -PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT, (Received Nov. 5, 11.55 a.m.) v \ SYDNEY, Nov. 5. The rfeport of the Board of Trade as a result of an inquiry held under the Monopolies Act into the roofing tiles industry has been tabled in the Assembly. The Board expressed the opinion that certain companies mentioned in the report did combine to monopolise the trade in roofing tiles and accessories with intent to control the supply, or the price, and that such a com-' bination still existed. The AttorneyGeneral (Mr Bavin) said the question whether any proceedings would be taken had been referred to the Crown Solicitor. He did not think it was desirable, but he would hot say anything in the meantime.
