RIFLE BARRELS

DISGUISED AS TRAMCAR AXLES. THE GERMAN WAT. ■ WELL GROUNDED SUSPICIONS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received Nov. 3, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2. The Times’ Berlin correspondent states that the German Government has at last agreed to supply the Inter-Allied Military Control Commission with documentary evidence in regard to the production and supply of armaments before and during the war, which has so far been persistently refused. This is a great step* forward towards the final settlement of the question of military control. It is all the more* satisfactory since there is a well grounded suspicion that Germany continues to hide, arms and to produce new weapons. Even Krupps have been discovered endeavdisguise rifle barrels as the castings of tramcar axles.
